چکیده

The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact oleic acid supplements on liver metabolome hybrid grouper fingerlings (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus × Epinephelus lanceolatus) challenged with Vibrio vulnificus. Oleic used as a fish feed supplement because it has been reported enhance immune response fish. After six weeks feeding trials control and experimental diets (oleic immunostimulant), 10 were randomly selected from each treatment V. vulnificus by immersion for 30 min. seven days post-bacterial challenge, samples surviving infected groupers dissected metabolomics fingerprinting using liquid chromatography coupled quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (LC-qTOF-MS). results then analyzed MetaboAnalyst 5.0 SIMCA+P software. From analyses conducted, out 639 primary metabolites detected, total 66 significantly identified fed diets. Further analysis also showed that have different discriminating clustering based PLS-DA analysis. Based Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis, known pathways high values are alanine, aspartate, glutamate metabolism (0.13) followed purine (0.05). Moreover, these highly impacted metabolic pathways, L-glutamine (8.71%), L-lysine (4.05%), L-carnitine (11.53%), inosine (10.49%) several abundant in sample dietary acid. changes contributed improving system Thus, our advance understanding immunological regulation groupers’ toward immunostimulants against infection.

Transcriptome data of Epinephelus fuscoguttatus infected by Vibrio vulnificus

Vibriosis disease by Vibrio spp. greatly reduced productivity of aquaculture, such as brown-marbled grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus), which is an economically important fish species in Malaysia. Preventive measures and immediate treatment are critical to reduce the mortality of E. fuscoguttatus from vibriosis. To investigate the molecular mechanisms associated with immune response and host-b...

Backcross breeding between TGGG hybrid grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus  E. lanceolatus) and giant grouper (E. lanceolatus)

This paper reports on the first successful backcross breeding between TGGG hybrid grouper and GG in captivity. To establish a seed production technique for this new backcross grouper, eggs and larval development were observed. Three successful spawning was observed in November 2018, September 2019 and November 2019. The eggs were collected using stripping methods and the sperms were collected u...

RAPD and barcode analyses of groupers of the genus Epinephelus.

The diversity of Epinephelus species was investigated throughout Thailand. Random amplified polymorphic DNA successfully produced 1300 bands that were phylogenetically informative and used to construct cladograms. Values of pairwise genetic similarity (S) within species ranged from 0.65 in E. erythrurus to 0.99 in E. malabaricus. The interspecific values of S ranged from 0.23 between E. malabar...

Characterization of 10 novel microsatellite loci for the brown marbled grouper, Epinephelus fuscoguttatus (Serranidae).

Epinephelus fuscoguttatus is a commercially important marine fish species in southeast Asia. Due to overfishing and water pollution, this species has been declared as near-threatened. Thus, to provide information to help maintain and preserve the species, microsatellites were developed, using an enriched genomic library method. Thirty individuals were collected from the hatchery of the Fishery ...

An Enriched European Eel Transcriptome Sheds Light upon Host-Pathogen Interactions with Vibrio vulnificus

Infectious diseases are one of the principal bottlenecks for the European eel recovery. The aim of this study was to develop a new molecular tool to be used in host-pathogen interaction experiments in the eel. To this end, we first stimulated adult eels with different pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs), extracted RNA from the immune-related tissues and sequenced the transcriptome. W...
